My Priorities
The Sudbury School Committee requires strong and dynamic leaders to propel our schools forward. Our children deserve exceptional public education that nurtures them as the next generation of critical thinkers, fostering natural curiosity, a love of learning, and the skills necessary to thrive in an increasingly dynamic and diverse world. Every child deserves this opportunity for a free, quality public education, and I deeply understand this as the daughter of a kindergarten teacher and as a parent of two young children. Ensuring that our students receive the best education possible is a responsibility I take to heart.

As a leader, I will be committed to:

Advocating for All Children: Public education should provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for all children to succeed. We need to provide resources for those who need support while offering academic challenges for those ready to advance. Equally important, we must ensure that all learners in the middle feel supported and that their needs are adequately addressed. We need our policies to reflect our community values so every child and parent feels seen and understood by our district. The School Committee must be strong advocates for students, ensuring their education is not just good, but excellent.

Transparency and Consensus Building: The School Committee functions as a team, and effective teams learn from one another. Healthy discussions and diverse perspectives are vital for making informed decisions. By aligning on our guiding principles, we can reach consensus and make the best choices for our students.

Community Engagement: I believe strong schools thrive on collaboration. My vision supports easy ways to gather community input and open dialogue. I will advocate to build partnerships with educators and community organizations to enhance student success.

Ongoing Improvement: While we are fortunate to have high-quality education in Sudbury, we must remain committed to maintaining and enhancing these standards for future generations. Continuous improvement in our educational practices is essential.
Supporting our schools is crucial for everyone in the community, as it impacts our collective future.
